Following the Path of the Heart

Your heart knows the way. Run in that direction.--Rumi

Happy New Year! Happy New Moon!

I hope this beginning of 2018 finds you well and healthy and staying warm.

Did you see Oprah's speech at the Golden Globes? Hallelujah!!! We don't have cable here but when I caught a clip of it on YouTube my heart lit up and my eyes welled with tears. What a powerful speech she made about honoring our truth while navigating these complicated times. If you didn't catch it, here it is: Let me know if you get goosebumps. :)

Today is the new moon in Capricorn—in fact, there are six planets in the sign of Capricorn, which means a lot of earthy, grounding energy. A time to make your list, get to work and get things done. It’s a time to set new plans in place. Where are you heading and what would you like to see for yourself in the next year or two? Astrologically speaking, 2018 is the year of alchemical transformation. Of transmuting old stories and structures and creating new ones that support our whole beings, our families, our communities and the world.

Beginning in my teens, I followed my heart as it led me toward healing plants and herbs, which brought me to vegetarianism, macrobiotic cooking, astrology, and yoga. Next came meditation, alternative medicine, massage, healing arts and the spiritual practices of a tribe in New Mexico I was incredibly fortunate to live with and learn from. From there it was martial arts, teaching and back to ancient nutritional concepts. And on and on. For me, one small change after another eventually resulted in greater health, energy and emotional wellbeing. As one is never “finished” on the healing and wellness path, I’ll continue to learn and grow in all the ways I can in order to be of greater service to my family, friends, clients, community and to the planet.

While I’ll no longer be offering the Spring Cleanse, Fall Quest or the Sweet Life online programs, I will offer them as individual programs and will be replacing the group programs with unique healing circles that will address the current issues on our planet and our individual role in the evolution of the consciousness of humanity and our own healing.

This a time of remembering ourselves and our inner-truths. It’s a time of re-thinking our power and re-constructing our stories. And that reconstruction begins small. By committing to one small thing. That thing your soul is asking for and maybe it’s been asking for it for a while now, for years. Or decades. Now is the time to commit to that one thing or re-commit to it. To whatever it is that feeds your soul and brings you into your heart.

What's your one thing?

Whether it’s more walks in nature, doing your art, spending more time with your kids, starting or contributing time or money to a charity, getting a massage, drinking more water, beginning a meditation practice or going out and having more fun, sleeping more, commit to that.

Because if it feeds your heart, that is what the whole world needs; your heart, lit up.

And of course, if you're committing to greater wellbeing in the new year and would like some support, I'm here for you.

What is it that you're creating now? Let me know, I'd love to hear!

Love, Jen
